The Azkals have been etching some golden moments in Philippine history lately, for the first time in football history, the Philippine national football team won a FIFA World Cup qualifying playoff match when they defeated Sri Lanka.
After an awesome 4-0 victory over Sri Lanka, the Philippine national football team, popularly known as the Azkals will be battling with the Kuwait national football team on the second round of the World Cup Qualifier. The Azkals will be playing with Kuwait, one of Asian football powerhouse, in another home-and-away match on July 23 and 28. The first game will be held in Mohammed El-Hammad Stadium in Hawall, Kuwait. The home game will be at the Rizal Memorial Stadium in Manila, Philippines.
Kickoff is scheduled at 7 p.m. on Saturday (12 midnight Sunday in Manila).
